Sam Adida grew up in Los Angeles, CA and attended Carnegie Mellon University. At Carnegie Mellon University, he pursued a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry, and was also a student-athlete on the men’s soccer team. After graduation, he worked at a small pharmaceutical startup as a researcher for one year here in Pittsburgh. He is currently a second-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His research interests include clinical and translational spine surgery research, centered around machine learning and augmented reality. In his free time, he enjoys all types of exercise, cheering on Los Angeles sports teams, and spending time with friends and family.
