Sumaarg Pandya is a medical student at the University of Pittsburgh. He graduated with honors from UCLA with a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. Sumaarg is involved in research focused on plastic and reconstructive surgery, regenerative medicine, and artificial intelligence applications in surgery. His research work has garnered multiple awards, earned a prestigious UPMC grant, and been featured at numerous conferences. Additionally, he currently serves as the Student Executive Council’s VP of Academics and is a cofounder the Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship course. In his free time, Sumaarg enjoys surfing, working out, sports ‘investing’, and cooking.
